Crazy Stuff People Believe

Here's proof that people watch too much TV. A new British survey shed an embarrassing light on just how gullible many people are. Here's a rundown of the sorts of crazy things many people believe:
  • Nearly a third of those surveyed believe time travel is actually possible.
  • Over 20 percent of adults believe light sabers exist.
  • 24 percent of people believe humans can be teleported.
  • Almost half of adults believe memory-erasing technology exists.
  • More than 40 percent of people believe hover boards exist.
  • 18 percent of adults believe they can see gravity.

I'll add one of my own. There was a 7th grade social studies teacher who told his class that people couldn't see in color until there was color TV ... and they believed him.  So, is there anything you admit is unusual that you actually believe? Do you try to get others to believe it too? Or ... Are you happy being "smarter" than everyone else? What's the craziest thing you remember believing when you were a little kid? How did you finally figure out the truth?  Follow the prompts and leave a comment or two.

Molecules talk to each other
As I kid, I used to think that the molecules of something talked to each other so that when it was torn apart or cut, the molecules would be sad and lonely. Weird, huh? I know it's not true but I sometimes still wish it was...

Toy Story
growing up i always thought my toys were real. be it imagination or not I thought they were real and had feelings. And when one would get broken and was to be thrown away I would sent another toy with it so it would not be alone. I did this since 5 years to 10 years of age. I know they were just objects but I thought if by chance they were not I would be like a caretaker for them. when one would come up missing my brother would say "you should had taken better care of it. So it left and went looking for a better home". I believe it, I would go to my friends home looking for my toys. My father sat me down after learning of my beleiving in the toys and told me the truth and that some of my toys were thown out to make room for new ones. It was then I new that they were just objects. BUT, even today at 46 years of age I find myself tieing my shoes together before i throw them out. "Weird"
