I graduated in 2009 with degrees in Biology and Broadcast Communications, got a job at Entercom, and haven't looked back since. I love moustaches, roller derby, robots, books, cats, eclectic furniture and laughing. Lots of laughing.
I am the Bear Grylls of Old Forge.
Okay, so I wasn't eating raw fish with just my teeth, but I was definitenly outside of my normal routine this past weekend.
In case you missed it, I went camping in Old Forge this weekend.
Thankfully, I was not eaten by a bear.
Although I did see one about 30 feet from our camp site. Needless to say, my heart skipped a beat.
(This shirt may have gotten me eaten by one though.)
Bear jokes aside, here are some highlights of my weekend in Old Forge:
Check out these pancakes from Walt's Diner. We ate here every morning. (Delicious, by the way)
I even attempted to eat two of these one day...and I couldn't do it. I couldn't finish them. Oof.
We took a trip up Mt. McCauley
I drove a speed boat too!
115 hp baby.
I totally get why people go boating now.
It was a weekend of first's, including my first ever gelato (raspberry cheesecake...mmmm)
I took a break from the wild woods to go go-karting and play mini golf.
I even found some ice cream for Haus!
Even though it's been at least ten years since I've been camping, I can totally see myself going back to Old Forge.
I mean...I could totally rough it with this hat, don't you think?
