...Amerks Hall-of-famer, Craig Charron, has died. He lost his short battle with stomach cancer on Tuesday. He was just 42 years old
Charron scored 122 goals and had 190 assists in his career in Rochester. He was the leading scorer on the team's last Calder Cup championship team in 1996.
A native of the Boston area, Charron remained in Rochester after his playing days ended in 2002 and was the varity hockey coach at Spencerport High School.
The community had gathered the last few months by holding benefits and fundraisers to help collect money for Craig's fight.
He is survived by his wife, Wendy, and four children.
