I graduated in 2009 with degrees in Biology and Broadcast Communications, got a job at Entercom, and haven't looked back since. I love moustaches, roller derby, robots, books, cats, eclectic furniture and laughing. Lots of laughing.
T.I.L.T: Happy September!
by Justine Paige,posted Sep 1 2011 3:10PM
I know it's not the OFFICIAL end of summer, but with school already starting back up for most districts, it's time to reminisce about the good things that you went through this past summer.
Rather then talk about me anymore (let's be honest, I'm tired of me.) I wanted to hear what YOU had to say about Summer 2011!
Thank you to everyone who chipped in, emailed, facebooked or tweeted!
Here's a little bit of love from this summer that everyone shared:
John K.: “What I loved most about this summer. Patchin’ things up with the best little girl and spending a whole bunch of time with her! Best summer ever!”
Anne S.: “Walking along the Erie Canal, feeding bread to the ducks, and then going to the Pittsofrd Library to get books and bagels with the twins that I babysit."
Robin H.:”The highlight of my summer will be September 3rd, because that’s the day my son get married! I’m happy for my son Brian and his soon-to-be wife Jess J”
Abbie S.:”Best thing was the Irene did not demolish my family’s vacation spot, Topsail Island, NC!”
Cheryl W. :”Kenny Chesney at the Meadowlands!”
Tracy S: “Our daughter’s wedding and our son’s engagement!”
Amanda G.: "1. It was super sunny and hot most of the time. 2. Went to the outerbnks and every day dream about going back." 3. Kenny freaking Chesney! 4. Football lockout ended. 5.I discoverd tequila and lemonade is amazing!."
(Number 3 and 5 are my favorites.)
One final T.I.L.T: Jessi Kaboom!, from the Roc City Roller Derby league I play with had her first daughter, Natalie Florence!
Derby Babies are so much fun, and this little one is already getting loved by the whole league. She’s even got a name to match her Mommy’s derby name.
Obviously her highlight..."Giving birth to my beautiful daughter."
Have a safe and fun last weekend of summer and enjoy the Labor Day Holiday!
If you ever get sad that summer is close to the end, just listen to these two songs and everything will be better.
Zac Brown-"Knee Deep"
Jake Owen-"Barefoot Blue Jean Night"
Here's to a fruitful and beautiful Summer of 2012!
