The Winter Classic, to benefit Heritage Christian Stables, will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Lehman Farms in Pittsford, NY. This event, in its 10th year, welcomes more than 120 riders from dozens of local stables, with more than 500 spectators cheering on.
The benefits of the horsemanship program are diverse and life-changing; impacting physical, cognitive, emotional and social growth. We are blessed to see great progress from each of our riders, like Garrett. Riding is so important to Garrett that it was factored in to a surgery he had. He couldn’t quit going to Heritage Christian Stables because it helps him – mind, body and soul.
The Stables is owned and operated by Heritage Christian Services, a nonsectarian human services agency celebrating 30 years of compassionate care to more than 1,700 children and adults with developmental disabilities through quality residential, day program and community services. Heritage Christian Stables is recognized by PATH (Professional Association for Therapeutic Horsemanship) International as a Premier Accredited Center. Only a small group of New York Centers have received this distinction.
If you have any questions or would like to tour our stables, please contact Jillian Carter, director of advancement at (585) 340-5704 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
